My Story

My mum sadly passed away due to a series of strokes when I was eight years old. It was in the early 90's and I don't think there was a lot of awareness back then, nor was the support their for families losing family members like we did. I want to run for her and this amazing charity which supports research and development into this tragic illness. It also helps people and their families who are going through these experiences.

The Great Manchester Run is the biggest and best running event in the North West. Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, runners soak up the amazing Manchester spirit the whole way round & pass iconic landmarks on their journey to the finish line. With over twenty rocking entertainment zones, some of the best (and loudest!) crowd support anywhere in the world, and all the action televised live on the BBC, It’s an event day experience like no other. It’s not all about the adults, the Junior & Mini events give the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
