Endgame: showing the boss who’s boss
My Story
I’ve been involved with Citywise since I was 15, and I’m still knocking around so there must be something worth donating for. Citywise claims to transform lives and it’s true - I’m a walking/running example.
I started working with my mentor Pedro straight after my best friend Adrian had died and I had really shut off. The sessions were once a week in my high school, and they were just fun - at a time when I probably needed fun.
After that I helped out on a bunch of the summer camps, did my work experience at Citywise, joined a trip to Finland, and am still helping out now when I’m home from uni. I’m halfway through a degree in Youth Work and Community Development. Helping at Citywise was the first time I worked with kids. It gives such a rewarding feeling.
On 21st May I’m racing the Citywise Chief Executive Luke at the Great Manchester Run. We last went head to head in 2016. Time for a rematch. He thinks he’s all that, but really he’s getting on. Time to show him the young bucks have arrived - I’m going to be running this charity in a couple of years time.
So donate now and help me run him into the ground…
